About Guy KlinzingHaving grown up in Chicago it is hard not to be inspired by the great actors, improvisers, and comics that have cut their teeth in the storefront theatres all over the Chicago area. Today I find myself beginning the “Second Act” of my life pursuing dreams that began more than 35 years ago.....being a full-time actor. Marveling at the footprints of those who have gone before, reminding myself that “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”, and relishing the pure joy of being an actor.
After receiving my B.A. in Performing Arts from Northeastern Illinois University, I began a long career with a major food company. During that time, I oversaw the operation of manufacturing facilities, became a manufacturing Human Resource Director, and served as a corporate media spokesperson. I have worked on production assembly lines and have sat in the corporate boardroom. I have gained significant experience in training, seminar facilitation, team building, event planning, strategic planning, on-camera work, and chocolate technology. In all of my life pursuits, I have always continued to look for ways to further develop myself as an actor/entertainer.
Someone recently asked me “what type of an actor are you”? If I had to select a “type”, I would want it to be an “everyman” who happened to have a great singing voice. An actor who is always professional, is easy to direct, brings skills and life experience to every role, and is a perpetual student of human nature.
